a judicial committee was formed even though i was being sexually harrassed by this octapus of an elder.

If now a full blown lawsuit you MUST file a complaint with the proper legal authorities. If this elder was willing to do this to you how many others is he getting overly feely with? You are awakened to TTATT what about a younger person who doesn't know better.

about the circuit i grew up in:.
last decade, a congregation was dissolved.. last year, about a half a dozen or so congregations meeting in a double-hall got re-orged and it works out to one less congregation.
they received all new territories, bodies of elders, publishers.
A lot of detroit halls were disolved because they couldn't afford the 'renovation scam' now it is spreading to the burbs and rural areas. A hall in ypsilanti was recently disolved.
many times (almost all the time) atheists asking for proof of god's existence from those who believe that god exists.
perhaps at times they should prove he doesn't exist.

the thread about urban legends got me thinking and i remembered this one which i was told quite recently which definitely deserves its own place.. a few weeks back i was told by an elder that the 'brothers' are saying that the catholic church is to be disbanded with immediate effect by the un because of child abuse coverups which apparently disqualifies it as a 'charitable organization'.. (no siggering!).
he also claimed that it was headline news.. this is of course mad wishful thinking on their part and i was staggered to think that anyone could believe such nonsense but would be very interested to hear if anyone else has heard this.. forgive me if this has already done the rounds but it was news to me..
